What you like about it?Quick, Easy, interactive visual display.
What you don’t like about it?It does not currently support editing of the Prezi.
How would you use this app with your students?Precreated activities, interactive demonstrations, and self-driven lessons
Tips you can share on its use?Can use already created powerpoints to migrate into Prezi, or create the Prezi from your desk before you take it to the class.
I am an avid user of Prezi in the classroom and out of the classroom. This application allows a prezi user to access the prezi presentations with full images and interactivity without limit. I was originally concerned because the desktop version of Prezi involves Flash, but this app uses the online version in full screen and is fully functional as a display.
I really enjoy using Prezi, especially now that they have the PowerPoint import feature so I can upload all my old Powerpoints and adapt them to the more interactive nature of a Prezi.
Let me give you a clear example. I have a presentation that includes writing prompts for Task 1 IELTS complete with graphs, brainstorm notes, methods to identify the appropriate information in the task, and a sample essay for comparison. The interactive nature of the Prezi allows me to move from the Prompt to a close up of the graph. Then we can work on the brainstorm notes and identifying the appropriate task information before I move on to displaying those in Prezi. The students work on their essay and then we bring up the sample essay to do a straight comparison of arrangement, vocabulary choices, and topics.
The touch nature of the Prezi means that I can move back and forth quicker and easier. In addition, if I have further prompts and graphs, the students would be able to move on their own to the next stage of the topic.
This App requires pre-planning and knowledge of Prezi to work appropriately.
